The 16th International Building Exhibition KyivBuild 2012

The 16th International Building Exhibition KyivBuild 2012 will be held in International Exhibition Center (Brovarsky Ave, 15) February, 29, to March, 2, 2012. Key theme of the exhibition is the urban planning and sustainable development of the modern city.

The exhibition is organised by ITE Group Plc (UK) and Premier Expo (Ukraine).

It is s officially supported by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, Ukrainian Chamber of Construction, the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, All-Ukrainian Union of Building Materials and Product Manufacturers, the National Union of Architects of Ukraine.

KyivBuild 2012 is a multi-business forum for professionals of the construction and allied industries presenting  the entire construction cycle from architect's idea to realisation of the object.

Over 300 companies from 21 countries participate in the exhibition, including joint national stands of Belarus, China and Germany. Exhibitors also represent Armenia, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, India, Iran, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and Finland.

Among the long-time exhibitors are Valkiria, Wienerberger, Zenith-Techno, Texna, Plasteh, Gian  Clay Solution, Modern building solutions, Beralmar, Eurobeton / Simem, Elbor,  Robert Bosch, Makita, Black & Decker GmbH, Interskol Ukraine, Klingspor, Phiolent. Newcomers of 2012 are Tradeplast, Diana Kiev, Master Profi plant, Merx Group, APPU, Silk Plaster, Favorit AM, Dormash  Group trade house, Metabo Ukraine, Bahko Bisov Svenska Aktiebolag and others.

Sustainable urban development at e3forum - CityBuild

In 2012 e3forum got a new global vector of development. E3forum - CityBuild deals with issues of sustainable development of the modern city, from strategy development to the general plan. Participants of the conference will discuss various strategies and approaches to the general planning of the modern city, risk management and sustainable urban development. Ggeneral planning in the cities of Europe, the experience of Russia and the Strategy of development of Kyiv until 2025 are among the main topics. Event agenda is interesting for mayors of Ukrainian and foreign cities, main architects and competent municipals, investors and developers, real estate market participants and representatives of NGOs, planning organisations and other institutions, as well as anyone interested in creating future cities.

Transport, safe and effective utility and grid, minimising damage to the environment, environmentally friendly and passive housing is not an exhaustive list of CityBuild issues. Important areas of the business program are: e3forum - security (Safe City), e3forum - technology (development of transport infrastructure), e3forum - CityBuild (Competitive advantages of cities), e3forum - community (Role of the community and citizens in sustainable urban development). Certain activities will also focus on pre-fabricated buildings, development of markets for precast concrete and autoclaved aerated concrete.

Investment and innovative projects area

Facilities and projects for investment will be presented in two separate layouts. Investment Projects Area presents engineered, constructed, reconstructed and restored objects, objects with the use of innovative technologies, including environmental and energy saving technologies. Innovative Projects Area will exhibit new materials, equipment and projects for the safe city, first class infrastructure, energy efficiency, made in Kyiv, e-government. Participants will discuss the changes in the licensing system of investment. The exhibitions are coorganised and inspired by CBU, UFIB, UUFTS.

e3 mark for green building technologies

The main trend of the third millennium is the concept of ecology, energy efficiency and sustainable approach to consumption. "Green" fashion has swept the major architectural and construction event of the planet, and Kyiv exhibition was no exception. That is a driving theme of the 3rd International forum on eco-friendly and energy efficient construction e3forum, inspired by e3-ideology, which triplicates concepts of Ecology. Energy. Efficiency.

Moreover, in 2012, organisers of KyivBuild introduced a special «green» e3 sign to mark stands of exhibitors who produce or plan to produce eco-friendly, energy saving products or services, using innovative energy-saving and energy-efficient systems and making efforts to meet strict international requirements for environmental safety offering products and technologies related to environmental, energy-efficient and «green» building. E3 mark must help consumers identify such vendors from the whole market supply.

Main walkway to be made out by best landscape studios

The main walkway of the exhibition remains its best adornment and real gem of the show. Major players stand along the main artery, the main stream of visitors is concentrated just on the walkway.

In 2012, walkway design is made out by the best landscape studios of Ukraine. Designers so far kept in secret what country had inspired them. But surely each of the seven segments of the walkway will be a unique landscape park in miniature.

Festival Architecture and Design 2012 grew by half

The 12th Festival Architecture and Design is supported by the International Union of Architects (UIA). In 2012, it's entirely devoted to the theme of Sustainable Urban Development.

Festival stands will show, in particular, the master plan of Kyiv, the best Ukrainian interiors at Inter'Year 2012, a display of Zodchestvo (‘Architecture') 2011 festival laureates and Green Project Festival (Moscow), a retrospective exhibition of the best Ukrainian interiors of 2000 - 2011, show of Sofia Kyivska National Reserve, works of participants of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine Award, and exhibition panels of design studios.  In 2012, the terms of the award changed, for the status of the national award was given to the well-established 10th International Competition Inter'Year 2012 for the best realised interior.

Garden Tool specialised showroom

A specialised show for gardening tools, machinery and equipment Garden Tool is launched alongside KyivBuild 2012 exhibition as a brand new line in the trade show's profile. The show presents the whole range of tools and equipment for landscaping work, as well as engineering systems for gardens and parks. Garden Tool, together with Landscape&Garden, Techno+Stone and Intertool Kyiv exhibitions would form an integrated picture of the market, while considering each of its segments.

Playground for children in 48 hours

Organisers of the 13th international exhibition Intertool Kyiv 2012 together with Robert Bosch and Kyivmiskbud companies will hold a charitable action event Intertool For Children.

A skilled workmen team using the Bosch power tools will construct some items of children's playground at the special Demo Area of ​​the pavilion. Ready-made ground will be given to the Vasylyok orphanage (Bila Tcerkva, Kyiv region) at the gala ceremony on March, 2. Visitors of the exhibition will get the opportunity to see and test the professional tools by Bosch. And little Kyivans will receive new nice and safe places to play.

The general partner of the action is Bosch, strategic partner is Kyivmiskbud, and partners are Altsest and Pidzemshlyakhbud.

KyivBuild 2011 statistics

The 15th International Building Exhibition KyivBuild 2011 was held on February, 23 to 26, 2011. The exhibition area set 10 160 square meters.  335 companies from 26 countries participated. Visitors - 14 895, including 90% of industry experts.
