Growth of the Construction Scope in Ukraine

Construction companies in Ukraine in January-October 2016 have increased the scope of works compared to the same period last year by 13.7% - to USD 51.3 billion, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, writes ubr.ua.


In particular, the scope of works on the buildings construction for the reporting period increased by 15.6% - to UAH 26.5 billion. Works on the construction of residential buildings increased by 13.6%, to USD 13.6 billion, on the construction of non-residential buildings - by 18%, to UAH 12.9 billion. The scope of works on the construction of engineering facilities increased by 11.7% - up to UAH 24.8 billion.

Works on new construction, reconstruction and technical re-equipment in January-October amounted to 81.9% of the total scope, while works on capital and maintenance repairs amounted to 9.4% and 8.7% respectively.

It is also reported that during the reporting period construction companies in Kiev increased the scope of works by 23% - to USD 12.3 billion by carrying out 24% of total works in the country.

Information is provided without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as the part of the antiterrorist operation zone.

According to the report of UNIAN (Ukrainian Independent Information Agency of News), in 2015 construction companies in Ukraine reduced the scope of works compared to the same period last year by 14.9% - to UAH 55.9 billion.

In 2014, Ukrainian construction companies reduced the scope of works compared to 2013 by 21.7% - to UAH 50.2 billion.
