Poland is ready to invest $ 200 million in the construction of the new Kyiv metro line to Troieschyna district.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Voschevsky met with a delegation of Polish investors in order to strengthen economic cooperation. During the meeting, the Polish side expressed interest in investing to the construction of new infrastructure projects in Ukraine.

In particular, the Polish business is ready to invest about 200 millions USD in the first phase of construction - 5 stations and 5.9 km subway length. Project implementation period would be 3 years.
It should be noted that the construction of the subway Troieschyna was first discussed 30 years ago and still has not been resolved. More than 450 thousand people live in that district. When the metro line would be completed the population could grow by another 120 thousand persons.
"Construction of the metro is an issue which the government pays special attention, despite the fact that resources are very limited. Ukraine has lost a fifth of its territory and economy. We are actually in a state of war, and the need for funds for the military bloc is growing. Therefore, investing in our infrastructure construction projects - is to support Ukraine in its most difficult period, "- says Valery Voschevsky thanking investors from Poland.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to meet and discuss further loan conditions of the project for the construction of the metro in Kiev with the Polish bank.
